With its rustic charm, the Girona Nera instantly transports us to European country roads. Its delicate pattern and its washed-out black will add warmth to your kitchen.
Features:
- Install directly onto existing tiles or smooth surfaces.
- Durable, resistant to humidity and heat. However, it is strongly advised not to install them where they will come into direct contact with water.
- Robust and resistant to heat from stovetops and around a fireplace. Must not exceed a temperature of 49°C (120°F).
- Easy to reposition at installation and become permanently affixed after 48 hours, once pressure is applied.
- Easy to remove with little to no damage, depending on the surface.
- Gel component called Gel-O (3D effect).
- No yellowing or cracking over time.

Can these be installed onto an orange peel wall or does it have to be a smooth surface.
Hello, No Smart Tiles cannot adhere properly on textured surfaces, and it’s not recommended to install tiles on porous, textured painted surfaces or textured ceramic tiles. You may be able to smooth your wall with sandpaper. If you do so, apply a primer afterwards and let it dry completely for 72 hours. Then, clean the wall with a degreaser such as TSP (to remove any dust or grease from cooking). After these steps, you can apply your Smart Tiles!

Can these be used over an existing mosaic tile kitchen back splash or are they only to be place on a flat painted wall?
Yes, you may install our peel and stick Smart Tiles directly over an existing backsplash such as ceramic or glass, as long as the tiles have been properly cleaned with a degreaser. Please ensure that the existing surface is sleek and smooth without texture for our Smart Tiles to adhere properly.

can these be removed without damaging the walls?
Hello Kimmy, Yes. They are easy to remove with little to no damage, depending on the surface they were installed on. To make it easy, use a blow dryer to warm up each tile to soften the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners. Use a cleaning product to wash the wall and remove any excess glue left by the Smart Tiles.

Currently have the vintage Vinci, and it is Matte. Is the Girona Nera pattern also Matte? It appears on screen to be shinier than the vintage vinci. Thank you.
Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Both the Vintage Vinci and Girona Nera tiles have a matte finish. Some screen resolution may show slight differences in the product images. We apologize for the inconvenience. A helpful tip: all model number with an M are a matte finish (example: SM1207M-00-00) and model numbers with a G are a gloss finish (Example: SM1202G-00-00).
