Love the trim!! Love the product as a whole!
I purchased Smart Tiles but realized I needed a trim piece to finish the open edges due to where I was putting the tiles. I was SO happy to find the Smart Edge item! It makes the Smart Tile in my old bathroom look finished and updated without spending a million dollars! Best of all, I had the whole project done in approximately 3-4 hours! This product is such a great visual pop! Perfect for walls that have many imperfections and you do not want to invest a ton to make things smooth again. Would love to see other Smart Trim SKUs that match other Smart Tile colors, like red, stainless steel, black and white! Thank You Smart Tile!!

Look beautiful
I bought this smart tile a month ago, for the backslash of my kitchen.
I really love how it look now that it is done. I was a little unsure when I one finished one row. It looks a lot better when you cover a space as appose to just one row.
The reason I did not give this product 5 stars was because the grout on the edges of the product were not always even, some pieces had wider excess grout which required me to cut the product down.
As well it would have been nice to have a instellation video just for this pattern, because the hexagon do not have straight sides to match up. Thus it takes a lot longer to install this pattern, as well as a lot more planing.

Perfect coverup
Moved into an apartment with a hideous brown kitchen backsplash a month ago and immediately started looking for a solution, and found these! Ordered using the calculator on the website (it was a quite generous amount which meant I didn't have to panic about running out), the shipping was quite fast and the installation-once you figure out where to start and which direction to work, is super easy. It took me an afternoon for the whole kitchen. It's amazing how much brighter it looks! While its not as nice a finish texturally as real tile, for $150 and an afternoon, you can't ask for a much better or easier fix for ugly rental tile. I am super pleased I did this!

perfect for rv
I installed this in our RV around the sink as it was painted wood and I was always concerned about water damage. Its been in 2.5 years (installed 7/2013), standing up to use & temperature variation (-10 F - 105 + F as van parked outside). No peeling, yellowing or anything! Looks as good as the day I put it in. I did seal the bottom between the tile and the counter with clear silicone to prevent water seepage. It is lightweight and flexible. Flexibility is important in a 4x4 RV van, didn't want "tile" as it would pop off and add weight.
I misplaced my extra sheet and finally found it, along with the info to this web site so now I'm posting this review.

Good results
I bought these as a temporary change for my apartment as an update and I'm glad I did. The install was very tedious and not all the grout lines would stick. But from far away it looks so good! The feel is like gel and glossy but good quality. I'm very happy with the results and I cannot wait to order another style to do a backsplash in my kitchen. I do recommend ordering at least 4 extra for any mess ups. Over all I'm pleased and recommend them if you cannot put up real tile, there's nothing like the real deal.

A NEAT WAY TO FINISH OFF YOUR SMART TILE !
I chose the dark grey as it seemed to be the right choice to go with the white tile.
I installed the edging before installing the last row of tile, using a pencil line to ensure straightness. It is important to make extremely precise measurements so the last tile fits snugly against the edging. If you try to hurry these last steps, you will end up with a sloppy looking job.
One thing I noticed with these strips is that the adhesive needs to have pressure applied after placing to ensure good adhesion. This was never a problem with the tile.

Love this product and this company
I bought the smart tiles and trim for my kitchen and it turned out FANTASTIC. It was so easy to install and I did not need to bother my husband with another one of "my projects". I get so many compliments when people see it. I am now working on the bathroom with another color and again, great results. This is a great company to do business with.....there was an error in one of the items shipped and the minute I contacted them, it was immediately corrected and the person I talked with was so apologetic. A+++++customer service! I hope that sometime in the future there are more color options available in the trim, but for now, I couldn't be happier. Thanks!

Beautiful results!
Bought these smart tiles after seeing a video on how easy it was to install them without the hassle and expense of ceramic tile. I am a 63 year old gal and I have to tell you that easy was an understatement! I enjoyed every minute putting them in behind my kitchen countertop! They look so clean and classy no one can tell that they are not glass! Adhesion is very strong! I would not hesitate to purchase these again for my next project of transforming and updating on a budget!

What is the width of trim? How much off edge of countertop do you begin edge of backsplash for trim to align with edge of countertop when installed to edge of backsplash? Is there any overlap of edging onto edge of backsplash?

Is there a longer piece for a 1/4 inch tile trim? I see that the Brillo comes in 1/4 inch, which is good, but I need longer than 18inchrs.

Can this be used on bathroom floor tiles? Doesn’t typically get wet, but how will it hold up with walking on it?

Can these be used next to a gas fireplace?
Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, they are heat resistant and can be installed surrounding the fireplace providing that the surface temperature does not exceed 49 °C (120 °F). Also, it is important to avoid any direct contact with a heat source or open flame.

Can these be easily removed? Will I need special equipment for removal? Are these renter friendly or will it damage the wall once removed ?
Hello, thanks for your question and interest in Smart Tiles The tiles are easy to remove with a blow dryer if you warm up each peel and stick tile long enough to soften the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners. Remove with little to no damage to the wall depending on the surface the tiles were installed on. If installed on painted wall, when you remove it will damage the paint. Maybe not the entire paint, but maybe some spots. The residue left is easy to clean with a degreaser such as TSP. Please do not hesitate if you have any other questions.

Does the Smart Edge Ambra have a glossy shine? The image makes it appear shiny. It’s recommended for the Norway maple which appears to have a flat finish. I’m concerned the two will not match.
Yes the edges are shiny. The finish types would differ, but the color is similar. Your local hardware store may offer edges with the same finish type. Another finish method would be to cut your Norway Maple tiles to create an edge (small edge near grout and install vertically). Do not hesitate to contact our customer service for assitance.

Can this be cut in half if the measurements don’t fit?
