Do you love Smart Tiles products but have a limited budget? We feel that a home that’s decorated to your taste should be accessible to everyone, so take a peek at a few decor projects below that only require a minimal amount of tiles to refresh your space and make it feel brand new.
1. A kitchen backsplash behind the stove
Penny Davy Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles
A few tiles strategically placed behind your stove are the perfect addition to redefine the space and enhance the look of your room.
Whether you prefer sleek Scandinavian kitchens, or a Mediterranean kitchen that exudes warmth, we have a Smart Tiles style to match all tastes. And, you don’t have to worry about the heat given off from your oven or stove because Smart Tiles are heat-resistant!
However, it’s very important to verify whether your oven has a protective panel or metal plate at the back. If one doesn’t exist, you’ll need to create your own “safe zone” by leaving an 8 in (20 cm) free space around the cooker and vent.
If you have a gas stove, we recommend the installation of our Smart Panel, a stainless steel protective panel, to prevent direct exposure to steam or an open flame to your Smart Tiles.
If you want to install Smart Tiles directly above the counter top, behind appliances such as a toaster oven or mini-oven, etc., keep a space of 2 in (6 cm) between the self-adhesive tiles and the appliance.
2. Save with our Blok collection
Blok Chevron Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles
Thanks to a larger format, a single Blok tile can cover a space without compromising the design of your decor project. Perfect for a small backsplash, the Blok tile can easily be installed behind a bathroom sink, or even behind a kitchen faucet.
Thanks to its impressive rectangular design, a single tile can cover 1.79 sq ft., unlike our regular Smart Tiles size, which usually cover 0.20 sq ft.
Available in five colours and various faux finishes, the Blok tile is suitable for all decor styles. Our team also loves the Blok Ardoise, which adds a touch of elegance wherever it’s installed. Nothing like the colour black to create a dramatic and refined look!
3. Transform your library
Vintage Giotto Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles
Thanks to their versatility, Smart Tiles are ideal for a variety of small-scale DIY projects.
Here’s an idea to revive the ambience of your living room or your bedroom simply by updating an old bookshelf using Smart Tiles. Even if you only need a few tiles and a quick coat of paint, the finished effect is definitely worth it!
Depending on the look you’re trying to achieve, you can strip your wooden bookcase to highlight it’s natural beauty and add a little colour with Smart Tiles, or make the bookshelf the main feature of your room by painting it a bright and pretty colour that will surely catch your eye.
And, Smart Tiles are flexible enough to fit into curved or angled surfaces too!
4. A delicate backsplash
Vintage Girona Nera Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles
A backsplash doesn’t have to cover a large surface to make an impact! A simple strip of tiles placed on the wall subtly enhances your decor.
Our Vintage collection styles adorned with pretty, retro patterns are ideal for transforming the look of a room, even when used sparingly.
All you have to do is choose your favourite colour!
5. The half wall without half measures!
Morocco Sefrou Peel and Stick Backsplash Tiles
Are you absolutely in love with Smart Tiles and want to cover your walls with it from floor to ceiling?
Completely change the look of your bathroom by tiling the lower half of the wall. Not only is this method a budget-friendly decorating solution, it’s also a delightfully trendy option that gives the feeling of a bigger room.
Though Smart Tiles are humidity-resistant, you must still make sure to install them in an area where they won’t be in continuous contact with water.
Need a helping hand to create one of the projects here? Our online tile calculator can help you figure out the number of Smart Tiles you’ll need for your DIY project. Simply measure the width and height of the area you want to cover and enter the information into the tool. The calculator can be found on each of our product pages online.
