- Durable, resistant to humidity and heat. However, it is strongly advised not to install them where they will come into direct contact with water.
- Robust and resistant to heat from stovetops and around a fireplace. Must not exceed a temperature of 49°C (120°F).
- Easy to reposition at installation and become permanently affixed after 48 hours, once pressure is applied.

Can this be used surrounding a gas fireplace?
Yes! They can be installed on any surface whose temperature does not exceed 49 °C (120 °F). Avoid any direct contact with a heat source or direct exposure to an open flame.

I was thinking of putting this around my island. How would you handle corner edges?
Hello, Thank you for your question! Smart Tiles are flexible enough to apply on rounded or angled surfaces. However, if you are applying the tile on a concave corner, simply cut Smart Tiles and join the two pieces at the corner. This way, you don’t need to apply any unnecessary pressure to the Gel-O.
