It’s the middle of summer and you’re trying to get a whole bunch of projects done in the house, but it’s proving difficult with the kids around…why not include them? With our no mess and easy to use Smart Tiles at your disposal, what other DIY project could be more kid-friendly?
First, get the kids Involved from step one. Have them help you search through our collections online and pick the decorative wall tiles you all like. Asking for their opinion will get them more invested in the project.
Second, it’s time to prepare the surface, either in your bathroom, kitchen or in your child’s very own bedroom, by cleaning the wall. Why not make the cleaning a bit more fun by getting your child his or her own set of gloves?
Third, while the wall is drying, have a snack and gather the few tools you need. While you don’t need too many, you do need a knife to cut some tiles to size—what a perfect time to insert a lesson about tool safety!
Next, give your child a job, assign them tasks like helping you measure or better yet, peeling off the back of our stick on tiles and pressing them to the surface.
Once it’s all done, don’t stop there! Your child will now have a wonderful sense of ownership and responsibility, something you can use again and again. Whether you put up
mosaik tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen or bathroom, or our
3-D Gel-like tiles in the kid’s bedroom, all of them are very easy to clean and finding helping hands might be that much easier now that your child helped decorate their own home!
